Student Performance Statistics
Until the 2005-06 school year, DC Public Schools (DCPS) used the Stanford-9 Achievement Test (SAT-9) to measure what students have learned. However, starting with the 2005-06 school year, DCPS changed its tests and now uses the DC Comprehensive Assessment Test (DC CAS). DCPS and the Public Charter Schools administer the DC-CAS to students in grades 1 to 11 each spring. The tests include reading comprehension and math computations.
These data represent the DCPS school-by-school Stanford-9 Achievement Test scores in the areas of reading and math.

These reports provide performance assessment results for the DC Public Charter School Board’s charter schools and students.
This report card provides performance and accountability data on the charter schools and students that the DC Board of Education authorizes for the 2004-2005 school year.
DCPS and Public Charter School No Child Left Behind
No Child Left Behind (NCLB) is a federally mandated program that requires all public schools, school districts, and states to demonstrate “adequate yearly progress” (AYP) on the state tests and other indicators. This website provides citywide summaries of schools, including schools that did and did not make Adequate Yearly Progress, schools that are in various stages of improvement, and school attendance and truancy rates.
